Robinson Window: Upper

This window shows the Angel of Peace and Hope. In his arms is the Dove of Peace. Doves are often used to symbolize the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the active presence of God in our lives. Our greatest source and assurance of Peace and Hope is by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, who promised the following:

"Jesus said to his disciples: 'Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

-John 14:27

"May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."

-Romans 15:13

The Robinson Window was given by Mrs. A. Blaine Robinson and other members of the Robinson family in memory of David (1828-1895) and William Andrew (1830-1902).
